Luxenooks collects décor ideas you can act on today. Not renovation plans — variations, colour pairings and little rearrangements that change how a room feels by the end of an afternoon.

One change at a time

Bedrooms

Calm, layered, dimly lit

Bedding worth touching, a lamp low enough to read by, and one colour repeated three times across the room.

Hang the curtains six inches above the frame — the ceiling looks taller straight away.

Living rooms

Made for sitting together

Seating that faces seating, a rug wide enough to hold the front legs, and light at three different heights instead of one ceiling bulb.

Pull the sofa four inches off the wall. The whole room starts to breathe.

Towels in one colour family, a plant that likes steam, and somewhere to hide everything plastic.

Change the mirror long before you think about changing the tiles.

Outside follows the same rules as inside: something soft underfoot, a light source, and a surface for your cup.

Hello, I’m Sara

I’ve been rearranging rooms since long before I knew it had a name. After [9] years of doing it for friends, for clients, and for far too many of my own moves, I started Luxenooks to keep the good ideas in one place.

A home doesn’t need to be large to feel considered — it needs a few corners you’re genuinely happy to sit in. That’s what I write about here, one nook at a time.
